Pregnancy Calculator Information

The Pregnancy Calculator helps you track your pregnancy progress, estimate your due date, and provides week-by-week information about your baby's development. This tool is based on standard medical calculations and should be used for informational purposes only.

How Pregnancy Dating Works

Pregnancy is calculated from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP), which is about two weeks before conception actually occurs. A full-term pregnancy is approximately 40 weeks (280 days) from the LMP.

Pregnancy Trimesters

Pregnancy is divided into three trimesters:

  • First Trimester: Weeks 1-13 - Rapid development of baby's organs
  • Second Trimester: Weeks 14-27 - Baby's growth and movement
  • Third Trimester: Weeks 28-40 - Final growth and preparation for birth

Due Date Calculation Methods

Method Calculation Accuracy
Last Menstrual Period (LMP) LMP + 280 days ± 2 weeks
Ultrasound Measurement Based on baby's size ± 1-2 weeks (early pregnancy)
IVF Transfer Date Transfer date + 266 days ± 1 week
